The work
You will be an intern within the M&A Business Strategy team where you will have the opportunity to gain practical learning experience by actively supporting the M&A team in serving clients in different sectors and regions. Our Global Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity practice combines business and technology expertise and offers services throughout the M&A transaction cycle.
Team: As an intern you will be working with members of the M&A strategy practice in the Netherlands but also across other European countries.

Daily tasks: As an intern, you will participate in projects in pre-deal and post-deal phases and work with our teams on M&A strategy to

• Define target areas for inorganic growth and scenarios for portfolio optimisation,
• Screen targets to identify potential acquisition and alliance targets,
• Perform Due diligence ranging from strategic, operational and ESG to IT and technology due diligence
• Help our clients plan and successfully execute merger integrations across all functions (IT, operations, finance, HR, supply chain, etc.)
• Help our clients plan and successfully execute Carve-outs and divestments, where you will participate in the planning, monitoring and execution of separation activities
• Form Joint-ventures and alliances, helping our clients choose and implement desired cooperation models
