We’re a network of more than 500 players across the financial value chain – all of whom are committed to the embracing the positive impact of technology to make financial solutions more accessible across the board. From the way we pay, to how we send money, and how we manage funds – everything is touched by innovative technologies such as open banking, platforms, blockchain, and Artificial intelligence.

Fintech is the collective term for financial innovations driven by (digital) technology. Examples are crowdfunding, Bitcoin, mobile payments, big data and more. Our members range from startups to established companies in technology and financial services, such as banks, insurance companies or pension funds, but also include investors, governmental institutes and other stakeholders in the Fintech ecosystem. We leverage our global network and knowledge to empower our members to deliver their innovative solutions worldwide.

Not only do these technologies empower people to take better control over their finances, but they also help our economy grow . Therefore, we are building the Dutch, European and global ecosystem for Fintech companies. We work closely together with organizations like TechLeap and Startup Amsterdam and various startup programs.

Profile

We are looking for someone with an academic education, who is internationally oriented and who is fluent in English (especially in writing). Being able to speak and write in other languages is a pro.

Who you are…?

• You have knowledge and interest in tech, finance, innovation, startups and venture capital;
• You have a masters in a related study (i.e. Business administration, Economics or Finance);
• You can work independently on assigned projects;
• You have excellent analytical skills, and high attention to detail;
• You are able to articulate technical topics in an engaging way;
• You know how to keep your finger on the pulse of what’s happening in the fintech world;
• You know you way around the internet and social media;
• You have a good feel for source reliability – how to tell if what you’re reading makes sense and is credible – and see the bigger picture;
• You like to work in a small, dynamic, international team;
• You have the ability to plan and prioritize and take into account deadlines and resources;
• You are able to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.

Your Responsibilities as a Research Consultant

You will be helping to create our insights and story as an organization!

• Obtaining in-depth knowledge about fintech, financial innovation, digital technologies, regulations and venture capital;
• Researching market developments using reports, social media and other sources and tools;
• Creating digestible market overviews, insights and opinion pieces on trends in the industry;
• Creating proprietary research, surveys and questionnaires, making use of our network;
• Writing blogs and reports in co-operation with the marketing team;
• Executing (commercial) research assignments for third parties;
• Making our knowledge base accessible for our team and our members;
• Helping shape our events’ content and visit these events to meet the people in fintech;
• Support account management with our programming and services based on proper data;
